Davin goes to prom "2011"

Looking mighty dapper if I say so myself! I was not invited to the house where they were taking pictures sadly, so I am waiting for the couple and group shots. I did get a semi - apology the next day when Davin admitted that I could have gone because as I had expressed to him "there were tons of parents" there.
Davin waited 13 years to get a brother - he got these beautiful girls first.

I decided to make the corsage again since the one I bought for Mormon prom fell apart as soon as they got in the car. A little pressure, but we were happy with the way it turned out.



Mother's Day 2011

This was a really nice day for me. Brad spoke in church, Emmie and Brody sang, everyone wrote me nice notes, even Davin, and I got to relax at my Mom's while my Dad barbecued and Brad chased Kellen around. I am pretty sure this day should come once a month instead of once a year!

Perry turns "15"

Her dinner pick was BJ's, which made the entire fam happy!

She got lots of presents to make the day special :) She also got a special cake on Mother's Day from her Nana and a surprise party from her friends a week late - even though it was her year for a family birthday! There is no question that she is loved!

It is actually difficult for me to express just how much I do love her. The very thought that I get to be your mom, Perry, makes me feel emotional! You are amazing in every way, and I feel blessed daily by our relationship. Your generosity of spirit and being touches all that know you. Your patience, kindness, and respect are healing and an example to us all. But your virtue is what really makes you beautiful inside and out! The world is yours and all the happiness God has to offer! Love you sooooooooooo much.

Brody: "Is there a next life?"
Mom: "Yes. There is Eternal Life if you are baptized and try to be obedient you can live with your family forever. You can be stuck with mom!"
Brody: " Can I be stuck with Kellen cuz I love him more than anybody?"

Oh my this couple is too cute. They were so happy with their haul. Way to go Emmie and Brody - you ran your hunt expertly!

Guinn kids Easter morning. You have turned out to be a pretty good looking bunch inside and out. I look at this picture and I see so much more than pretty hair and nice clothes. I am so grateful to be a part of this life with you. Sometimes it seems like work for us all - just remember it is the greatest work we will do!

Happy "68" Birthday Grampy Bear!!!

Can't believe my dad is 68, of course this means I will be turning 40 shortly! He is a picture of health with the few minor exceptions, and we hope it stays this way for a very long time. He does have to have his nap every afternoon, so maybe this is the secret to youth:). His grandbears think he is "the bomb", his daughters think so too only in a much more serious thoughtful way, and his lovely companion thinks he is handsome and fun and a few other things. We enjoyed celebrating his special day with him, and feel so blessed that our children have such loving dedicated grandparents here and in Washington.

Unfortunately, I am still struggling with darn bladder problems. I had a good 10 or 12 days and thought I was through the tough part, and then bam for no apparent reason a relapse. It is driving me nutty. I haven't changed a thing. This is definitely the hardest thing I have had to do. My problem is that when I am in such discomfort, I can't imagine living this way for the next 50 years. I really need to just focus on now, but it is tough. I thought I was tough, but this notion is definitely being tested! Sure hope I can make it! I know - sorry for the dramatics!

Spring Sprinkler Fun

Kellen does whatever Brody does. The thought is frightening actually. It can be handy but I am leaning more toward I hope it goes away sooner rather than later. This day I wish I could have captured his face when he ran head first into the cold spraying water after Brody. Shock is an understatement. Here he is smiling at a safe distance.

Brody has always loved water. Darn that his skin is so fair (thanks Brad) it requires UV shirts and slatherings of sun block. He couldn't wait to bring out the water snake the first hot day we had. He and Emmie had already been turning the slide into a water slide.

Josie's school had a compound word day, which I thought was quite clever. She decided to be strawberry with her friend. Obviously she was the straw. I don't remember doing fun stuff like this 28 years ago! She likes middle school a lot thank goodness.
