Happy "68" Birthday Grampy Bear!!!

Can't believe my dad is 68, of course this means I will be turning 40 shortly! He is a picture of health with the few minor exceptions, and we hope it stays this way for a very long time. He does have to have his nap every afternoon, so maybe this is the secret to youth:). His grandbears think he is "the bomb", his daughters think so too only in a much more serious thoughtful way, and his lovely companion thinks he is handsome and fun and a few other things. We enjoyed celebrating his special day with him, and feel so blessed that our children have such loving dedicated grandparents here and in Washington.

Unfortunately, I am still struggling with darn bladder problems. I had a good 10 or 12 days and thought I was through the tough part, and then bam for no apparent reason a relapse. It is driving me nutty. I haven't changed a thing. This is definitely the hardest thing I have had to do. My problem is that when I am in such discomfort, I can't imagine living this way for the next 50 years. I really need to just focus on now, but it is tough. I thought I was tough, but this notion is definitely being tested! Sure hope I can make it! I know - sorry for the dramatics!

  1. You will get better, you will get better! Keep saying it over and over, maybe you need some retail therapy, that always makes me feel better!

  2. Happy Birthday to your Dad! You can tell him something i love about him for me right? tell him that i loved that he never got lost flying a plane but he always got lost driving me home. I remember him saying, in his own defense, that the grand canyon was a much bigger landmark to turn at than those silly street signs. Haha. I love your Dad!

so sad that you are still battling those awful pains Haley! i will remember you in my prayers again. xoxo
